Een stukje webgebeuren

There must be somethins special about this cactus, cuz this is the second bird that's built a nest in it. This spring, a Anna's Hummingbird made her nest in the same cactus!

It's started getting way to hot in Riverside again, so it was time to escape. I was talked into joining Darren and Laramy to ride in a bike tour in San Diego, last saterday; The Fourth Annual Tour d'Diego. Wherein a bunch of people, I'd say around 55, dress up in silly costumes, drink a bunch, and then ride bikes through downtown San Diego. Then participate in a booze-related game, then drink some more, then ride some more, ad infinitum.

It was great fun. Couple of reasons for this:
- San Diego, in summer, has nice weather. You'd think I'd say the same about Riverside, but 40 Celsius + dry desert winds get less enjoyable when it's that hot every day. So it was good to be out on a sunny day, whilst not that hot thay you'd rather stay inside a air condioned room.
- Riding your bike, having a drink. Everybody was extremely relaxed and enjoying themselves.
- We were wearing costumes, and so was everybody else.
- San Diego, as opposed to Riverside, has a very nice bit of downtown. With actual stores, and people out and about.
- Most people wore spandex.
