As usual, Riverside wasnt' too exciting, new years' eve wise -- (almost) all our friends were elsewhere, and fireworks are not allowed (as they pose a fire hazard). Happy two-ten everybody!

And on a side note: a photo of mine on flickr.com has been short-listed for inclusion in the tenth edition of a Hawaii Guide, published by schmap.com. The map will be published mid-January 2010.

The Canadian TV series "Trailer Park Boys" (s04e07) shows park supervisor Mr. Lahey and his 'assistant' Randy discussing trailerpark-supervisor issues in front of a painting depicting a bunch of wild horses. That picture is named 'Free as the Wind', by Auguste Albo.

We have that exact same picture. It's hanging in the 'booth' in our kitchen.

Yes, I know it's hideous.
